Here's one for all the Deadheads out there... The D'Angelico Premier Grateful Dead Bedford combines retro, art-deco styling with versatile tones and modern playability. All that is finished off with the iconic Grateful Dead red-white-and-blue lighting bolt with the full skull logo on the front of the headstock!
Body & Neck
As the name suggests, the DC is a curvy double-cut semi-hollow that offers solid humbucking tones. The body material is Laminate Maple, offering up plenty of top-end brightness to contrast with the warm semi-hollow sound. Multi-ply cream binding rounds it off with a touch of class.
The Maple neck continues the theme, laying on yet more top-end sparkle. Combined with the semi-hollow configuration and HH pickup setup, you get a warm, clear and versatile sound that’ll suit anything from hard rock to jazz-funk.
Hardware & Electronics
The twin D'Angelico humbuckers deliver a warm but gutsy snarl but is also capable of cleaning up nicely. Humbuckers are always a great partner for semi-hollows as their thick, powerful sound complements the natural warmth and resonance that semi-hollows provide.
The hardware is chrome from top to bottom, including Rotomatic Stairstep tuners - it’s an undeniably striking instrument. But everything has a purpose; expect fantastic tuning stability, squeaky-clean intonation and reliability across the board.
