Samson Graphite MD13 Mini USB MIDI Keyboard Controller is a portable and mobile USB bus-powered solution for composition and performance. It equipped with 13 velocity-sensitive chromatically designed backlit trigger pads with aftertouch for representing dynamics while playing passages.The pads can be assigned and programmed to various functions such as tapping out drum hits, cueing one-shot samples, starting and stopping sequences, and more. Aftertouch allows advanced effects such as using filters to a triggered sound. A bank switch effectively doubles the number of pads from 13 to 26. Duo octave buttons enable you to extend the range of the pads to a complete four octaves
The assembly also features Control Change mode for transferring control change messages and a program setting for sending program change information. The controller pairs to the computer and is powered via an included USB to USB mini cable.
This MIDI controller can also pair to an iPad employing the optional Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit. It also arrives with the manufacturer's Graphite Editor Software for creating custom MIDI assignments to your performance or production software of choice. For ease, the controller can also be powered immediately from the iPad.
