  The new Gold-OC6 was developed in order to meet the demand for a very high quality acoustic guitar from players who seek a smaller body size and nut width(43? (1 11/16”)) along with a Fishman® Flex Blend built-in preamp.  

OM CUTAWAY BODY

The Gold-OC6 features a classic OM cutaway body style. This body style initially developed in the 1920’s captures the pre-war era tone that is often sought after. Sonically it delivers a sound that is larger than its compact size would hint at and with a level of dynamic responsiveness that is a joy to play.  

AGED TO VINTAGE TOP

A vintage instrument is the holy grail of acoustic guitar tone. The wood on the top cures and opens up more over time. This unleashes a tonal quality that is missing in new instruments — until now. Using a special process that we call ATV (Aged To Vintage) we treat the solid sitka spruce top to give it that big and open tone of a decades-old, highly-sought-after acoustic. This torrefaction process delivers that amazing tone to you right out of the box.  

SOLID MAHOGANY BACK & SIDES

Bright yet natural with a strong and warm midrange, the beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades. All-solid construction is featured on this model.  

Fishman® FLEX BLEND SYSTEM

With a sophisticated modern design and innovative technical engineering, the Fishman Flex Blend System offers a wide range of sonic control along with a built-in tuner. Volume, Tone, Phase, Blend and Tuner functions are all available from three knobs and the tuner display. You can also adjust the Tone knob to best suit fingerpicking or strumming techniques without feedback issues and other sonic anomalies while delivering the most natural acoustic sound to your amplification system.  

DOUBLE-LOCK NECK JOINT

The connection between a guitar’s neck and body is another key factor for great sound. On the Gold, we started with a tight fitting traditional dovetail neck joint. We then reinforced it by adding a bolt. This DoubleLock neck joint maximizes the transfer of tone and enhances resonance on the Gold.  

DELUXE VINTAGE GOLD TUNERS

Minimalistic and lightweight while offering very precise tuning capability, these tuners operate smoothly and reliably while exuding a luxurious vintage look to perfectly complement the high-end features on the Gold Series guitars.  

GENUINE BONE NUT & SADDLE

For the most natural and organic sound and feel, there is nothing quite like genuine bone for the saddle and the nut, two critical contact points for the strings to vibrate freely and transfer that energy into the woods of the guitar.
