Taylor 314,V-Class(R)Bracing
You can't just roll out of bed, craft a guitar, and live up to the Taylor name. Bob Taylor's years of experience have given his namesake company the know-how to make instruments of the highest stature. This Taylor 314 acoustic features a sapele Grand Auditorium body with Sitka spruce top, the radical Taylor V-Class bracing system, and classy 300 Series appointments. This 314 is for the no-frills, true acoustic player who wants to revel in unamplified auditory superiority.
This 314 is cut from sapele wood into a Grand Auditorium style body. Known for its consistency across the sonic spectrum, sapele maintains bright highs suitable to many styles of playing. Taylor used Sitka spruce for the top of this guitar, a wood that affords dynamic tone and also accommodates versatile playing styles.
A true Taylor innovation, the V-Class bracing system from Taylor acts to increase sustain and volume simultaneously. The V design allows the top to flex in a way such that it can achieve powerful volume, while the rigor in the center of the guitar produces notes that resonate for longer. V-Class bracing also functions to remove interference, which can cause notes to sound slightly out of tune. Thus playing anywhere on the neck you'll find a high level of consistency.
