Description
Taylor 324ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The 324ce Grand Auditorium combines the high-quality craftsmanship with two of the finest tone woods, a venetian cutaway and Taylor electronics, giving the 324ce its musical versatility, & allowing it to deliver the perfect tone in any musical scenario.
The back and sides of the 324ce are crafted with the finest African Sapele and are beautifully complemented by a rich-grained Tropical Mahogany top. When these high-quality tone woods are combined and constructed into one of Taylor's most versatile body styles, the Grand Auditorium, the 324ce is capable of having plenty of tonal and visual character. The 324ce's ability to deliver a punchy midrange with great clarity allows this guitar to sound great in a mix with other instruments, and provides you with the kind of musical versatility that makes this guitar perfect in a number of different playing scenarios. The 324ce also features a venetian cutaway, providing you with greater accessibility to the higher registers on the neck.
The 324ce employs Taylor's patented Relief Rout, a tone-enhancing voicing technique in which a groove is carved along the inside edges of the top. This groove is similar in function to the re-curve on a violin — it “loosens up” the edges of the top, generating extra flexibility without sacrificing structural integrity. This results in an increased volume and bass response with a well-balanced tone.
The 324ce features a 25.5” scale neck is carved from Tropical Mahogany into a comfortable, easy to play profile. The neck also features a black bound 20-fret Ebony fingerboard with 4mm dot inlays.
The 324ce utilizes Taylor's Expression System (ES), an all-magnetic acoustic guitar pickup system that works like a microphone to produce a pure signal and a warm, natural acoustic sound. The ES enables the true sounds and tones of the 324ce to fully illuminate, rather then just picking up the sound of the pickup itself. The ES also features 3 simple controls to shape your tone to perfection – volume, bass and treble.
To further cater to its vintage, yet simply elegant appearance, the 324ce features an all satin finish, a three ring Rosette, chrome hardware, a Taylor Mother of Pearl headstock logo and black-bound body and heel cap.
A durable, Taylor standard black hardshell case is included with your purchase of the 324ce to provide you with the ultimate protection.
